Australasian Symposium on Trace Analysis and Environmental Monitoring

Call for Papers and Registration

7-8 December 2000 University of Western Sydney Nepean (Parramatta Campus) NSW Australia

Aim and Theme

This symposium aims to bring together analytical chemists, environmental chemists, ecologists and related professionals to discuss the most recent advances in the in analysis of trace organic and inorganicsubstances in various sample matrices, as well as their application to environmental monitoring and environmental management.

The scientific program will consist of invited lectures, workshops, oral and poster papers. Topics covered by the symposium will a include:

 

  • Current Environmental Pollution Issues
  • Quality Assurance and Quality Control
  • Sampling of Environmental Materials
  • Sample Preparation Methods
  • Recent Advances in Trace Instrumental Techniques
  • Design of Field Investigation
  • Environmental Monitoring and Management Strategies
  • Chemometrics
  • Data Evaluation and Management
  • Future Direction

Instrument Exhibition

A special session of the symposium will feature exhibition of modern analytical instrumentation for trace analysis and environmental monitoring.

Abstracts

Abstracts (no more than one A4 page) for oral or poster presentations must be submitted by 6 November 2000. Each abstract must include a title, names and addresses of author(s), and an indication of preference for oral or poster presentation.

Registration

Registration costs include lunches, morning teas and abstract booklet. Full registration $200 and students $75.
