Sydney Festival has secured the exclusive world rights for the 50th anniversary production of Waiting for Godot, which opened at the Théâtre de Babylone on January 5, 1953. Accordingly, the Festival and Company B Belvoir will present this landmark work featuring John Gaden and Max Cullen, to be directed by Neil Armfield, at Belvoir Street Theatre. Written by Beckett in 1948 in French, Waiting for Godot changed the very nature of post modernist theatre forever and firmly established him as one of the most important writers of our time.
Through one of the country's most fruitful artistic partnerships, Neil Armfield and Company B Belvoir will bring to life one of the magical fables of our time. TICKETS - available online through Sydney Festival - www.sydneyfestival.org.au
