Welcome to the Education to Employment Package for University Students and Graduates with a disability. University students and graduates with a disability CAN and DO get the jobs they want. This Package aims to assist you to get the job YOU want!
Looking for a job can be very challenging for new graduates, including university graduates with a disability. You may find it hard to:
- understand what your rights and responsibilities are when looking for work
- understand what your rights and responsibilities are when in the job
- decide whether or not to disclose your disability
- know what skills and knowledge you need when looking for a job
- know what employment resources or support are available to you, and
- know what employment services are available to you at university and in the community.
The information in this Package will help you to address some of these challenges of getting a job by:
- providing specific information about your rights under anti-discrimination law
- providing information about disclosing your disability when seeking a job
- providing specific employment information
- showing what options there are to help you get a job
- providing a list of resources that may assist you to find and keep a job.
